The S4060D CNC offers the highest performances of the S4000 series. It is extremely high-speed and powerful. It offers a CPU Master with a 68040 Motorola processor and a PC CPU with 1GHz Intel processor.

This allows high speed milling speeds and at the same time gives the operator the maximum availability of resources to program directly on board while machining. This way the operator can use a CAM system to calculate the tool path and meanwhile execute a program in Selca environment.

The S4060D CNC was especially designed for the continuous management of rotary heads and tables on 5 or more axis machines. In fact it implements the advanced TCPM software module, which supplies the operator with all the necessary means to operate on the programmed machining in a simple and effective way.

The advanced TCPM module represents the evolution of the basic TCPM software already available on the S4045PD CNC and includes new algorithms and new software functions, such as the preventive calculation of the software end runs, the constant speed of the tool point and the look ahead on all axes, which power and complete its performances.

CONTINUOUS TCPM MANAGEMENT ON ROTARY HEADS AND TABLES

The advanced TCPM (Tool Centre Point Management) Selca function automatically maintains the tool/work piece contact while moving mono-biratory, orthogonal or angular heads and rotary/tilting tables, by compensating through the linear axis movement the rotary axis movements.
The contact is maintained even through combined head and table movements.
The function allows machining on inclined planes by resetting the tool in plane.
The main feature of the advanced TCPM are:
